Result: Team 1 becomes the Champion

Round 1 - First Round: Only two teams compete in one match (Team 8 vs Team 9). Teams 1-7 receive byes and automatically advance to Round 2. The winner also advances to Round 2.

Round 2 - Second Round: Eight teams compete in four matches. In this example: Team 8 (Round 1 winner) faces Team 1 (bye), Team 2 (bye) faces Team 7 (bye), Team 3 (bye) faces Team 6 (bye), and Team 4 (bye) faces Team 5 (bye). The four winners advance to the quarterfinals.

Round 3 - Quarterfinals: Four teams compete in two matches. In this example, Team 1 defeats Team 2, and Team 4 defeats Team 3 to advance to the semifinals.

Round 4 - Semifinals: The two quarterfinal winners compete. In this example, Team 1 defeats Team 4 to advance to the final.

Round 5 - Final: The two semifinal winners compete for the championship. In this example, Team 1 becomes champion.

Total Matches: A 9 team bracket requires 8 matches total (1 first round + 4 second round + 2 quarterfinals + 1 semifinal + 1 final). This makes it suitable for medium-sized tournaments.
