How Does double Elimination Tournament Bracket Work?

I will explain how a double-elimination tournament works. Below is an example of a double-elimination bracket for 8 teams.

In the example above, Thunder Hawks face Black Stallions. If Thunder Hawks win, they advance to the next round, and Black Stallions are immediately eliminated. In a double-elimination format, losing a match means you are out of the tournament.

There are also four teams that advance directly to the semifinals, and in the final round, the two remaining teams compete to determine the champion.
